Always forgetting your close friend's birthday, wedding days or other events? Need a simple tool to remind you for these events? Event Reminder is just what you are looking for. This highly configurable application combines a simple interface with a powerful set of options make sure you never forget an event again.

For adding events simply click at the Events Button and fill in your friend's name; select the event and add a date. That's it.

Six month calendars

As a bonus we've added a six month calendar to the Event Reminder app. This calendar is accessible through the system tray icon (right mouse click and depending on your Event Reminder configuration also through a single or double click).

Installation

Simply download and run the Event Reminder installer from the download section below. For those who can not install applications (for example at your office) this same version is also downloadable as a zip archive.

If you like this application to auto start when you login to Windows click the Configuration button, choose System, enable (if necessary) the "auto run at log on" option and click the Apply button.

Note that it might require administrator privileges to enable this setting. If you have no administrator privileges (for example at your office) you can manually copy a shortcut into your Windows Startup folder. For doing so please follow these steps provided by Microsoft:

If you always open the same programs after starting your computer, such as a web browser or e-mail program, you might find it convenient to have them start automatically when you start Windows. Programs or shortcuts placed in the Startup folder will run whenever Windows starts.

Click the Start button , click All Programs, right-click the Startup folder, and then click Open.
Open the location that contains the item to which you want to create a shortcut.
Right-click the item, and then click Create Shortcut. The new shortcut appears in the same location as the original item.
Drag the shortcut into the Startup folder.

The next time you start Windows, the program will run automatically.

License

Event Reminder is released as freeware and free from nags, advertisement and popups. The program is available for download as installer (exe) and as zip archive. No serial number or registration is required in order to use your copy of Event Reminder. When you like to program you are welcome to leave a message at the bottom of this page.

Remind Me was written in 1996 as 16 bit application (one of our first coding projects after switching from Turbo Pascal 5.5 to Delphi 1.0). Simply for nostalgic reasons we've added these old versions to our download section. Note that Remind Me 1.2 was never released to the public and was not available for download until now. For Windows 7 support we've recompiled the 16 bit version also into 32 bit (recompiled August 2011; both 16 and 32 bit version can be downloaded below). However if you are seriously looking for an Event Reminding application we suggest you download Event Reminder instead.
